Rihanna's performance of a new remix of "Cockiness (I Love It)" was made all the more buzzworthy by a surprisingly intimate moment near the end of the song. A$AP Rocky, the New York rapper who provided a guest verse for the track, leaned in close to Rihanna, put his mouth on her neck and openly grabbed Rihanna's backside. Rihanna didn’t seem to be the least bit fazed by the situation, even though we can’t imagine that A$AP got THAT handsy during rehearsals. (We already know that Lana Del Rey finds him Frenchable and he wanted to “bone” her.) Post-tushgrab, she made her way through the crowd to the raised platform where house DJ and her “We Found Love” collaborator Calvin Harris was DJing. The crowd, both at home and attending live in the Staples Center, went predictably bonkers, and got the 2012 VMAs off to a memorable start.
