Luis Suarez Bites Branislav Ivanovic's Arm During Soccer Match

Luis Suarez could be booted out of Liverpool for his shocking bite on Branislav Ivanovic. Brendan Rodgers last night said he will hold crisis talks with the Anfield hierarchy after another Suarez flashpoint. Suarez last night apologised on Twitter. But the Kop boss warned his Uruguayan striker – previously banned for racially abusing Patrice Evra – that the club’s name must be protected at all costs.Ivanovic shrugged off Suarez and immediately complained to referee Kevin Friend, who didn't see the incident and didn't speak to Suarez. "I'm sad for what happened this afternoon," Suarez wrote on his Twitter account. "I apologize (to) Ivanovic and all football world for my inexcusable behaviour. I'm so sorry about it!!"Suarez's biting antics are nothing new. While playing for Dutch club Ajax in 2010, he was suspended two games for sinking his teeth into the shoulder of PSV Eindhoven's Otman Bakkal. In addition to craving opposing players' flesh, Suarez has also built himself quite the reputation as a racist, unsportsmanlike cheat. The Uruguayan became the most hated player of the 2010 World Cup when he deliberately used his hand to stop a sure goal from Ghana during the quarterfinals — leading to a penalty shootout that the South Americans would win."Players are role models and are highly rewarded. This sets such a bad example." Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech said immediately after the match that Ivanovic had not mentioned the incident in the Blues' dressing room. "I didn't see it at the time but people have told me, which is surprising," said the Czech Republic international. "Suarez always does little fouls and pushes. I saw Branislav's reaction and he was not happy at all."
