For the first time in Emmy history, the award for Outstanding Choreography was awarded live during the main Emmy broadcast. To celebrate the occasion, host Neil Patrick Harris surprised the choreographers with a challenge to come up with number for the show that included all of them, as well as Neil.Host Neil Patrick Harris gave all five nominees a challenge to choreograph separate numbers with him involved, set to live music, as a way to honor their skills at the main show.
