Jake Locker dirty hit after scoring against Browns

The Titans got off to a hot start against the Cleveland Browns in their Week 5 matchup, but this hit on QB Jake Locker left fans holding to their breath. Locker scrambled for an 11-yard touchdown to put the Titans up 14-0, but was on the receiving end of an absolutely dirty looking shot from linebacker Chris Kirksey.Kirksey was standing in the end zone as Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker scored on a run. Locker was hit before he crossed the goal line and was going down when Kirksey unloaded with a forearm to the head that seemed to knock Locker a bit woozy. He was tested for a concussion on the sideline. Locker stayed in the game after that hit, but left to the locker room later holding his right hand after he was hit on a blitz later in the second quarter and was ruled out for the ballgame. He was replaced by Charlie Whitehurst as the Titans blew a 28-3 lead and lost, 29-28.He was taken to the locker room to be evaluated for signs of a concussion; despite the above, he was cleared to play and reinserted to the game. Shortly thereafter, Locker hurt his wrist and was removed. Charlie Whitehurst entered at quarterback.
