Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Brandon Marshall Suffers Rib Injury


Chicago Bears Pro Bowl wide receiver Brandon Marshall left Soldier Field during Thursday night's game versus the Dallas Cowboys after taking a shot from safety Barry Church in the second quarter, his team trailing 7-0.Marshall appeared to take a knee in the back / rib cage area from Cowboys safety Barry Church as he completed the fourth-down catch in the second quarter. He writhed on the ground in pain for a few minutes before walking off the field under his own power, trainers by his side.The Bears initially said that Marshall had injured his ribs and his return was questionable, but later ruled him out for the rest of the game...because Marshall is being taken to the hospital in an ambulance to be looked at further.Marshall was ruled out of the game with a rib injury and taken to the hospital at halftime. Sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson did note that Marshall was able to get into the ambulance on his own power.
