John Wall Vs. Quincy Acy Christmas Brawl

Quincy Acy threw a punch at John Wall during the Washington Wizards – New York Knicks Christmas Day game on ESPN. Acy hit Wall with a hard foul in the 4th and John Wall got up and shoved Acy.Both Acy and Knicks coach Derek Fisher said that Acy did not throw a punch at Wall. "I didn't throw a punch. I got up and reacted, then I just grabbed him," Acy said.Acy received a flagrant foul 2 and was ejected from the game. The league will review Acy's foul and may choose to fine or suspend him. The Knicks' next game is on Saturday against the Sacramento Kings. When asked about a possible suspension, Acy said, "I hope not. What was done wrong?" Acy explained that he was trying to foul Wall to stop the play because Knicks guard Pablo Prigioni was on the ground and the Knicks were down a man on defense.Midway though the fourth quarter, Acy knocked Wall down to the floor with a hard foul. Wall took exception to the hard foul and gave Acy a shove. After that, Acy either threw a punch or gave a hard shove. It's hard to tell. Wall got right up and shoved back, to which Acy responded by throwing a right hook that just missed the back of Wall’s head.Wall was hit with a technical foul for his retaliation, but Acy was handed a flagrant 2 and tossed from the game. It’s been that kind of season for the Knicks, who now have lost 16 of their last 17 games.
