Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant was caught freaking out on the sidelines in Detroit on Sunday, but it's unclear what caused this outburst.Bryant had only two catches for 22 yards at the time, but he also had a sick touchdown catch in the first half. The Cowboys also had a 13-7 lead, which makes it a mystery as to why he threw a tantrum on the sidelines.Bryant followed the tantrum with a 50-yard touchdown catch that put the Cowboys up 27-17. Detroit managed to pull off a last minute drive and TD plunge by Matthew Stafford to secure a 31-30 lead with 12 seconds to go in the game, leading to Bryant getting in a shouting match with tight end Jason Witten:To top things off, the unhinged receiver got into it with Jason Witten after the Lions scored late in the fourth. Witten, of course, was having none of it, and rightfully so.
What a perfect mess. Dez is either making an exemplary play or sporting the Keystone Light “bitter beer face” while lighting up teammates on the sideline. It’s not clear exactly what had Bryant upset, but it may be the fact that he only caught two passes for 22 yards in the game’s first three quarters. Bryant said last week that he can do whatever Detroit’s Calvin Johnson can do, but Johnson has nine catches for 221 yards so far. However, Johnson also has a fumble, one of four Detroit turnovers.Bryant, who claimed during the week leading up to the game that he was capable of doing everything that Lions receiver Calvin Johnson can do, may have been unhappy at his lack of opportunities. At the end of the third quarter, Bryant had two catches for 22 yards on five targets, while Johnson had ripped the Cowboys secondary to bits with nine catches for 221 yards on 11 targets.
