Washington State quarterback Connor Halliday, who leads the nation in passing yardage and who earlier this season broke the NCAA record for single-game passing, left today's game against USC early after suffering what appears to be a severe leg injury.
Halliday's injury occured when his leg was rolled up on by a couple of lineman. He lay on the ground in obvious pain afterward and was tended to by athletic trainers, which placed him in an air cast, loaded him into a cart and took him back to the locker room.
After the play was over, Halliday was seen screaming in agony on the field before eventually being carted off with an air cast on the leg.
It’s a tough break for a promising young quarterback who was turning out to be a legitimate NFL talent. Now he’ll likely to have to spend much of the next year rehabbing his leg.
