The Dallas Cowboys were clearly frustrated, down by 23 points to the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth quarter at AT&T Stadium Thursday, but this was a bit uncalled for.
While Eagles punt returner Nolan Carroll was watching the ball late in Philadelphia's 33-10 win, Dwayne Harris leveled him, sparking a scuffle between the two teams.
Harris wasn’t too happy about the scoreboard, so as an Eagles punt soared his way, he decided to take his frustrations out on Philadelphia’s Nolan Carroll.
Harris was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct on the play, and not surprisingly, his cheap shot didn’t go over well with Carroll and the Eagles.
The hit didn’t do anything except exorcise some frustrations that had to be brewing from having a division rival come into your stadium and punk you in front of a national television audience. The dirty shot was the most punishing hit any of the Cowboys players managed to put on the Eagles all game, hence the lopsided result. If anything, it seemed like Philly should have won by five touchdowns.
