Video Jon Stewart Leaving The Daily Show


Jon Stewart announced that he is leaving The Daily Show at his taping today. The news spread on social media from viewers who were in attendance at today’s taping, and has been confirmed by Entertainment Weekly, which passed along this statement from Comedy Central president Michele Ganeless.Stewart joined "The Daily Show" in 1999, replacing Craig Kilborn. Covering topics such as the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, torture, CIA spying, and several presidential elections, he transformed the show into a powerful and respected voice in American media.
