Young boy pulls foul ball switch at Rangers game (Video) 5/17/14

This young Texas Rangers fan is the coolest kid in Texas. During the fourth inning of the Blue Jays-Rangers game, Toronto third base coach Luis Rivera tossed him a foul ball, and the fan saw his opportunity to score major points with the girl sitting behind him. The boy already had a ball in his possession, so when he caught the game ball in his glove, he quickly turned and passed off the decoy to the girl. The video provides a few replays to help you follow along, but when the boy catches the actual foul ball, he's already holding a different ball. (The origins of this ball are unknown.) He moves his hand to make it look like he's taking the foul ball out of his glove—at least, to the people around him—then hands his Wendy Peffercorn the other ball. People around him are impressed with his generosity. As announcers noticed during the game, the young boy appears to pull a switcheroo. He catches a ball tossed from Luis Rivera in his glove, then immediately turns around and furnishes a ball to the female fans. But replays from the game showed the boy actually kept the foul ball in his glove, and gave a decoy to the ladies.
