In his return to middleweight and in a fight he desperately needed to win, former Strikeforce welterweight champion and previously top middleweight contender Nate Marquardt stopped hometown favorite James Te Huna via first-round armbar in the main event at UFC Fight Night 43 in Auckland, New Zealand on Saturday night. The fight itself seemed to be a one-sided battle for Marquardt, who outstruck and outgrappled Te Huna throughout. He eventually secured a fight-ending armbar on Te Huna, earning him a win in a win-or-go-home bout.Te Huna -- who was making his divisional debut after struggling in recent matches at Light Heavyweight -- now has three straight losses, all of which were not very competitive. He'll certainly have to change that real soon to avoid getting the ax, while Marquardt lives to fight another day against, hopefully, a fighter near his experienced, well-rounded level.
